Pink – Dear Mr. President

I have to give you this one from Pink's 2006 album "I'm not dead".

Here is a studio version of the song set to some stunning pictures put together by phillygrrl. Some of it sounds like Indigo Girls to me.

Here is a live version recored in New York City.

Roger Waters – Watching TV

Here is a powerful video which takes Roger Water’s song “Watching TV” and couples it to the events leading up to the June 4, 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre.

Foggy Dew by Young Dubliners

I saw the Young Dubliners play this past Sunday at the Valley Cultural Center’s Concerts in the Park. I’ve seen them a number of times and they always put on a great show. This song had the crowd to their feet.

Here is the description of the video from canadianpunk77:

“Pictures of the Easter Rising in Dublin, Ireland of 1916 put to the Foggy Dew by the Young Dubliners. The rising was a rebellion by a combination of Irish patriots opposed to British rule. The rebellion failed after a week of fighting and sixteen of it's leaders were executed by British firing squads. Despite this defeat, the Easter Rising led to another rebellion or Guerrilla War in 1919 which finally led to Irish independence in 1921.”

I am a big fan of Celtic Rock and have a great love for Irish culture. The Young Dubliners are constantly touring the world. Check out a live show, it's awsome! For the latest updates, check out their myspace page.
