Jon Anderson

John Roy Anderson hails from Lancashire England and was born way back in 1944. I saw him live back during the 90125 tour. I always felt a kinship with him as he aligns himself with the elf culture and meditates with crystals and dream catchers. This first clip is a collaboration with Greek musician Vangelis. It’s a classic to me, one you never hear on the radio.

Another Yes favorite of mine is “Wonderous Stories”. It captures the things I most enjoy about a multidimensional reality.

Jon has a website but it is rather disappointing. I didn’t find any music there, only links to buy music at amazon.com. A lot of the links didn’t work and the whole site seemed slow. The one cool thing is Jon’s artwork. It's worth a visit just to see his watercolors. You can find it here.

I went also to his myspace page. At least there was a few songs. Again, links that do not work. Come on Jon, get your act together.

His art work is there as well along with a dead link to "The Teachings of Don Juan" which is a favorite book of mine.

Rumor has it that Jon is working on a rap opera.

Kraftwerk - Autobahn

Kraftwerk - Autobahn

This post is quite a bit different from the last one by Uriah Heep. This song, by the German group Kraftwerk, is one of my favorite driving songs. It might take a bit of commitment to watch it as a video post, but on the open road, look out!

Autobahn

Here were some comments from the post:

Now ish ze time on Sprockets ven ve dance.
You have disturbed me almost to the point of insanity...There. I am insane now.
Would you like to touch my monkey? Touch him! Touch my monkey!

There was a cement hiway to Frankfurt on Oder and also from Berlin to Breslau (now known as Wroclaw, in Poland) They were built by Hitler in the 1930's. I live in the south of Poland and drove on them many times. They have recently been totaly rebuilt into modern freeways just like in the USA.

Here is another Kraftwerk song set to Lost In Space footage.

The Robots

The band website is absolutely awesome!

Uriah Heep - The Wizard

Uriah Heep has been around since the late 1960’s and they are still on tour these days. I always liked their sound and this song is one of my favorites.

Weird Al Pitiful

This is funny. I don't care who you are. You have to laugh at this.
