Men without Hats – Pop Goes the World

I just don’t get universal music group. They have all of their videos marked with “embedding disabled by request” It makes it impossible to promote new music by universal.

Grateful Dead - Bertha

Once upon a time I was a huge Grateful Dead fan. Not really a Deadhead, I didn’t follow them. I would however, see them anytime they played anywhere near. Growing up in Western NY, I saw the show below. Every time I pick up my guitar, this is one of the first songs I play. I play my own version, nothing like the Dead, but it is still one of my favorites. You have to like jam bands in order to enjoy the music.

If you want to learn some great Jerry Garcia licks, then you have to check out JDARKS. He posts awesome instructional videos on youtube and gives you all the guitar tab on his website. Worth a look if you play guitar.

John Denver

My father took me to see John Denver when I was very young. I have seen him many times since then. I was sad when his plane crashed off Santa Monica. I never realized that he could speak so many languages. Here are some examples of John Denver singing in spanish, japanese and chinese.

From a 1984 Japan TV Show.
John Denver sings "Take Me Home, Country Roads" (Duet with Kosetsu Minami) and "The Song of Lake Biwa" (Duet with Kosetsu Minami and Tokiko Kato).
