Alice Cooper - Steven - You and me - Black Widow - and me

This first one is great. Vincent Price plays in the nightmare.

Years Ago and Steven

I like to sing this one.

Alice Cooper - Steven with lyrics

This one too.

You and Me

Alice Cooper - You and Me - lyrics
When I got home from work
I wanna wrap myself around you
I wanna take you and squeeze you
'till the passion starts to rise.

I wanna take you to heaven
that would make my day complete
but you and me ain't movie stars
what we are is what we are
we share a bed some lovin' and t.v. yeah.

That's enough for a workin' man
what I am is what I am
and I tell you babe
well that's enough for me.

Sometimes when you're asleep and
I'm just starin' at the ceiling
I wanna reach out and touch you
but you just go on dreamin'.

If I could take you to heaven
that would make my day complete
but you and me ain't movie stars
what we are is what we are
and I tell you babe
well that's enough for me.

You and me ain't no superstars
what we are is what we are
we share a bed some popcorn and t.v. yeah.

And that's enough for a workin' man
what I am is what I am
and I tell you babe
well that's enough for me.

When I got home from work
I wanna wrap myself around you
I like to hold you and squeeze you
'till the passion starts to rise.

I wanna take you to heaven
that would make my day complete ...

I had some trouble with my downstairs neighbor complaining about my music. The deal I made with the building owner is that I get to play in a room off the carport. Its my own personal jam space. The only trouble is that it is filled with black widow spiders. Everytime I think I have them cleared up, I find more hanging in my face. It always brings me back to this song. Again, with special guest Vincent Price.

And just for fun. My version of I never cry. There are better covers out there no doubt.

Eddie Brickell

I love jam bands. There are a lot of people that don’t like the style. Too bad for them.
I was in Whole Foods today and heard a song that I thought was Eddie Brickell. It took a little searching but I found it. It turns out to be Circle.

“and being alone is the best way to be. When I am by myself, it’s the best way to be, when I am all alone, it’s the best way to be.”

Everything is temporary.

A favorite quote from my father:

Let nothing bother you,
Let nothing dismay you,
Everything Passes
Patience gains all,
God alone is enough

~St. Teresa of Avila

Circle

This one came loaded as a video on the first computer I ever bought. I was amazed. I watched it hundreds of times.

Men without Hats – Pop Goes the World

I just don’t get universal music group. They have all of their videos marked with “embedding disabled by request” It makes it impossible to promote new music by universal.

Here is some old music now owned by universal.

In the past two months I have had over 6 different “Jenny’s” enter my life.

The lyrics are something like “Johnny plays the guitar, Jenny plays the bass…

Grateful Dead - Bertha

Once upon a time I was a huge Grateful Dead fan. Not really a Deadhead, I didn’t follow them. I would however, see them anytime they played anywhere near. Growing up in Western NY, I saw the show below. Every time I pick up my guitar, this is one of the first songs I play. I play my own version, nothing like the Dead, but it is still one of my favorites. You have to like jam bands in order to enjoy the music.

If you want to learn some great Jerry Garcia licks, then you have to check out JDARKS. He posts awesome instructional videos on youtube and gives you all the guitar tab on his website. Worth a look if you play guitar.

John Denver

My father took me to see John Denver when I was very young. I have seen him many times since then. I was sad when his plane crashed off Santa Monica. I never realized that he could speak so many languages. Here are some examples of John Denver singing in spanish, japanese and chinese.

Annie’s Song with Spanish chorus

From a 1984 Japan TV Show.
John Denver sings "Take Me Home, Country Roads" (Duet with Kosetsu Minami) and "The Song of Lake Biwa" (Duet with Kosetsu Minami and Tokiko Kato).

Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven

It always seems to come back to Zeppelin. It really makes me wonder.
